Talk about dragging a thread back from the dead, but I've recently gotten back into RCs after a 6+ year hiatus because my son has finally taken a bit of interest in it giving me reason to pull my old RCs out. I haven't been on the boards for a long time and didn't even know OD was gone until end of last year...sad. Come to find several of my RCs are now discontinued.
But one of my favorite cars is my Z01B Team. I'm curious if there's anyone still running one or am I the last man on earth (haha)?
I've actually converted mine to electric but there was never much Z01B activity in the electric forum so I figured I'd have a better chance at finding another survivor here.
So anyone? **crickets**

Don't feel alone! Great buggies. I have 2 with back-up parts. Haven't used them for 4 years. Saving for retirement stages of life. LOL

Hi slow supra! Great to see another person still has one (or 2 in your case). We've had convos in the past. Just been such a long time since I've been on here. I'm not that far from Corona either (San Gabriel) and have friends in Corona. I've never driven the SG but have always been curious how much difference there is. Hopefully we'll meet sometime at a nearby track or just bashing. I haven't gotten my son to the track yet. He's still learning to drive and has fun just kicking up dirt. Dust yours off sometime!

Wow I couldn't believe the alert on my phone when this thread got resurrected. I've still got a Z01-T, a couple of the OG Z01-B's and a Z01-B SG sitting in the garage collecting dust. They were all good cars and really still are. That SG had some serious steering on it compared to the other cars. This makes me want to break one out and go play around with it again.

the SG had a better chassis, longer and a better design not to bend
the Team one can bend, because it was designed by BCE but the alu used had not the BCE cnc alu strenght..

Still find it to be the nicest car I ever had, it had all features good cars have nowadays:
high suspension travel, good geometry, battery mounted forward, 17mm shocks, good tank, large enough solid 3mm chassis

Anyone remember if they ever released the Z01-T SG? I would buy one just to add it to the collection of it was cheap enough.

harjo:
You need to break out your Z01s to let them roam free! Haha.
I always wanted a Z01T too. A quick search doesn't show any SG truggy though.

speedy:
I didn't know the Team chassis would bend. Never ran mine enough to test that. Guess I'll find out maybe this year if I can get some time to run at the track. I'd still like to test drive an SG.

Smash:
See if you can get that NIB Z01T for $200 OTD or less. They must want to get rid of it since it's just been collecting dust all that time.

Anyone know if any other brands parts fit as potential replacements? I have an RC8 also and I thought I recalled diffs fit.

Nice to see fellow Z01 owners still around. Having found out my monster truck, truggy, buggy, couple of radios and bunch of receivers have all been discontinued since the last time I touched them, I was beginning to feel like an RC hermit.

The z01t sg never made it to the public unfortunately. For parts options maybe some Kyosho stuff will work? I know on the truggy some Kyosho items would work but not sure what it's been a long time.

I'll ask what the best I can get it for.I know it's got the original tag on it from years ago for several hundred dollars.I did a second take when I seen it.

Haha yeah I need to get them out one of these days and throw them on the track again. I remember watching the SG truck run in pre production form and it looked a lot more nimble than the OG truggy is. I had a lot of fun racing the old truggy though. I wish they would have stayed in production.

I've still got a zo1b team and a zo1t plus heaps of parts. Doubt anyone would want to buy them anymore.
They haven't been let loose for a while now, just sitting in storage. Would be interesting to see how the buggy would go against today's crop of buggies. Truggy was/is a bit of a tank compared to today's nimble platforms.
Was such a shame odonnell became no more, maybe one day there will be a vintage class for 1/8 nitro and we can all bring them out again.

Exclamation resurected z01-T

super excited to finally complete my box-o-truggy... found a kid selling a box of parts and pieces on CL said they were all there and almost everything was. I only had to make the rear inner hinge plate from a losi 2.0 with some modification and a drill press. the rest was all there. well at least I thought it was. threw up a post asking for a hinge plate and a gentleman hit me up who was coming through town with a box of parts. as I was searching his box of parts for possible pieces I could need I cam acroos a helical diff pinion and thought why not. luckily I grabbed that piece as the rear crown was in fact a helical gear not straight. so tha was a major accomplishment to a otherwise certain dust collecting truggy, just finished my e conversion utilizing the complete center diff assembly for a dex408 and everything works great. anyone else have a issue with front driveshafts popping out of outdrives at max upward travel of control arms?

I know this thread is a dinosaur but does anyone still have any of these? I used to run a SG years ago and loved that car until Hobbico ruined that operation. I’d love to get my hands on one for a basher car, i remember it being super tough.
