Default Exhaust question

I bought a 2nd hand Hyper 7 and when it arrived i found the exhaust pipe was broken. If i fit a 1/10 on road exhaust to it just to test whether the engine works, will that cause any damage to the engine? The engine is a Hyper 21 8 port.

Thanks in advance for any help

Thanks for the help. Will the length of the silicon tubing i use to connect the pipe to the manifold affect anything?
