are these the kyosho big bores you put on your mbx5r? Do they fit fine with no jury rigging? Is the length appropriate to allow for full suspension travel?

Your right, no chassis brace in use there. Also what chassis is he running. It's not a mugen chassis that's forsure.

The second link does not show any Kyosho BB's in it. I have the Jammin 16mm BB's on my 5R. They fit well if you use the normal Jammin CR shock mounts, and the Mugen shock ends, and balls.

It looks like he's using the onroad ninja engine also...unless he just swapped heads.

Maybe that's the MRT Ninja buggy motor. Looks big for the onroad motor head.

I bet the chassis is thicker, besides the chassis is not a std mugen chassis have a look at all the extra milling on it.
also it looks like he uses Ti drive cups on the centre driveshafts.
actually now i had a good look there just machined down and milled out a bit

It looks like lightened outdrives on the axles. Also, the shock caps look different also. The springs look longer than the normal RMV ones. I have the mbx5 springs, but would love longer ones for the R shocks. The chassis is milled out. Whats up with the Euro guys running steering rod sticks? I guess the stock ball end links pop off?

I believe it is the Mario Rossi tuned RO1T. If you scroll down you see a closeup of the head. That definitely is an onroad engine, unless he just swapped heads.

anyone had an MBX5R lower front arm split at the end where the pivot ball screws in. It split alittle from the screw in point, I think along the top mold line.

I heard this was an issue with a set of the arms when made at a certain time. Anyone know about this?

Shot Mugen an email, but not sure if I'll hear anything back.

I see that happen all the time. Some told me that it never happens here in the forums and that the ball never rip out and you'll break the arm off first. I guess your seeing what I've seen.

This last weekend a guy with a new Mugen pulled one of the pillow balls out of his MBX5T, it had to have been a fluke incident, as it wasn't that bad of a crash.

From my local track, it seems to happen when landing on a pipe or laying the wheel along the wall off our triple. I think the wheel plops on the pipe or object with the arm laying down flat and pulls the ball out. Usually a brush or hit on the outside of the rim pushes it in, so it won't break that way. They reconfigured the track so you can't get enough speed to clear the triple now, because a lot of cars were breaking their front ends on this jump.
