Well unless something has changed, AE is only "sending" two guys to the race, JR Mitch and Jason Ruona. From what Ive heard neither are going to be running a proto, and both are running 1/8th.

If it is a vatiation of the sp2 i am sure it will be with some pretty cool features. I hope it is based on that platform wich is proven.
Couple of things i hope for.
1. make it lighter, especially the drivetrain. hopefully close to ifmar legal weight, which would be close to 14 ounces ligher than the current sp2.
2. Option for quick change wheels like 1/8 onroad
3. Big bore shocks, losi 8ight big.
4. Movable engine front to back bias.

I dont think its going to be based on the SP2. A friend of mine who has seen pictures of the prototype and accually held it in his hands says that it is (basically) a Jammin with a S3 drive train. Kinda makes sense considering there were pictures posted on Sgrid a few weeks ago of Mayfeild testing a Jammin at a race practice day somewere in florida...i think it was florida...might have been at The Pit in arizona

Jammin platform makes sense since he (mayfield) is running it. when i say based on sp2 platform, that is basically any car based from a kyosho. Yes i know they all have little variances from the kyosho, but are all real close. By the way the Jammin is a Kyosho kania ll with a few changes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So based on sp2 platform is correct from what you said

But why the old non "FTE" buggy?
You would think he would run the latest Jammin'.
