Losi 8ight building and setup

Is there a way to adjust the rear diff gear mesh? I just receied my new 8ight Race Roller and the mesh between the ring/pinion is horrible!
I took it apart once already to see if there were a shim I could remove. There were none that I could see, nor any way to losen the gear mesh...
Is this normal? The front and center diffs feel fine. The rear seems to be out of round because it seems fine half way around. The other half feels like its full for sand...
Any sugestions?

Be sure the inner pinion bearing is pressed all the way into the diff case. If you shim it out and the bearing is not set all the way in and you run it for awhile the bearing may set it's self and you will have a very sloppy mesh.

I have the same gritty rear diff. How many gallon til it goes away?
Does the case of the 8T fit?
thanks Hellsavage

It should go away after 2 to 4 tanks. Are you greasing the ring and pinoin gear teeth? Do you have too much end play for the pinoin shaft thru the bearings in the case? Should have very little to no end play. The bearing plastic inserts could be shaved down some where they contact the flange part of the diff bearings if there is excessive plastic flashing.

Can anyone tell me what the total caster on the eight buggy is. I mean kickup + caster when I say total.
