Anyone have experience with carbon fiber shock towers? I want to upgrade these because I have the RTR and see the carbon fiber ones on ebay for $30 for the pair (about the same as a pair of the kit towers).
Are these as tough as the kit towers? Or should I just go with the kit version?
Thanks!

Not ramming it right outta the box...Running the motor's On and off with Zero Load for 10-15 minutes...then applying comm drops and bearing drops to the can's periodically.....Also rewiring the whole box and soldering All the connections makes a WORLD of difference.

Can I run 2, 7.4v 2s li-pos in the 8ight starter box? The reason being that my charger only charges 1-3, and I can save some money. That rules out the 4s li-po from losi or anyone else.

Yup, what Tex said. Trust me, I've tested this theory. They're tough. They don't call me "Captain Crash" for nothing! (I'm up for promotion though... soon to be Major Crash!)

Hey guys im haveing a little trouble mounting up my new GO Tech 5pt on my 8ight. it seems like i cant get any play on the clutchbell. Do i need to dump the GO collet and get a losi collet to get the correct spaceing?

8 starter box ?
when u use a gel cell batt it says that u can hook up the extra leads to the power ports, these ports are for a glow plug igniter right? when i hooked up my igniter it just blowes the plugs instantly too many volts! what do u guys use???

gel cell : 12 volts
Some starter boxes have a power panel that regulates the voltage into output ports where you can hook up a glow starter with wires

Hi,
Sorry if this has been covered before, but has anyone trying using a Werk's 4 shoe clutch in there Losi buggy? I installed mine tonight and it looks like it might work. I have not run it yet with it installed. I need to rebuild the shocks and diffs. Thanks

My buddy is using the stock losi engine mounts with a werks clutch. The crankshaft screw comes close to the tank but it does clear.

Madman,
That is on the truggy correct? On both my 8ight and 8ight T, the only real wear I have found is on the front center more so than on the rest. The only reason I saw for it was because of the angle that drive line hits the center diff. Not too big of an issue to me, but if left unchecked could be a very bad thing.
