Pre-Glued tires
 

I tried searching for threads regarding pros and cons on pre glued tires but no joy. is it reliable enough to race them? not enough info out there.
I am seriously considering it. hate gluing tires. please advise.

Depends on the brand honestly. I've seen some brands run just as fine but others break on the bead of glue during 45 min final. I've run enough pre-glued tires and advise strongly against running them. You never know who glued the tires and how they've done it. Also sometimes we prefer to cut the inserts to make a softer feel on the mid section of the tire so with pre-glued tires you have no option to do so.

Long story short, spend a little extra time and effort gluing your own tires and save yourself a headache. :nod:

I've tried them all. I run them mainly on truck as we dont run them all the time. I didn't have issues with any that I tried. Back in the day was a different story, but today, you should not have issues.

Id run them with no hesitation.

Hit or miss with pre-glued. Much more predictable results when you glue them yourself. And you can save money by gluing them yourself.

Don't hesitate to find yourself a good jig for gluing tires, they're available in all shapes and sizes and should significantly reduce the "chore" aspect of gluing up some sets.

I have 3 sets of AKA pre glued tires to test. I will also prize out Jigs and learn this chore. rumor has it TZO pre glued is also good.
