My earlier statement was more in regards to pros and cons of the N1. For some reason I have found it’s hard to get honest opinions from people about likes and dislikes of an rc. Most just seem to hype them up as the best car on the market.
Nemo racing is not trying to advertise the best car on the market, they wanted to be different and do what others said can’t be done. I think it’s been a success already

I think it really depends on what you set as your target of success. For some companies that’s wining a 1/8 worlds for others it may be selling x number of kits. Now I will give them credit for trying something new and getting it into production. I would also like to drive one with a box set up to see if there are really any advantages to the design compared to the competition. As for if it’s ultimately a success that will be determined by the market and if the platform wins any championships in book.

Default Agama N21

I've had a chance to see the production cars racing on a really Dusty, super bumpy track this weekend. I've got to say they certainly look impressive, they stay really flat in the corners and ride the bumps really well and generate alot of grip. They can take a good pounding as well. On some of the jumps they looked to be a bit of a handful but on both days the Agama won the A main. These cars are definatley going to be popular.

My friend got the car to test, and I'm not really too impressed with it. However I can't really speak for him. The front of the car lacks droop, and the shock body is way too short. They even suggest to unscrew the lower shock ends for more droop, but the shock body is soo short. Even if you don't run the bladder, the piston comes out of the body way too much. Adding limiters isn't an option ,as it already has a lack of both travel, and droop for tracks with big jumps. What my buddy ended up doing was machining new shock bodies that are 5mm longer, and now it's perfect. Plenty of droop, and allows the shock shaft included with his kit to have full range of travel without hitting the cap, and he can run it with or without the bladder now without the worry of it being pierced. I don't really understand why they went with such a short body in the front, when the rear has plenty of droop. Even with the lower shock ends not unscrewed the body is way too short.

The Nemo team have been testing the car for a while, so I suspect there's a reason for the shorter shock bodies (even if it's just minor weight savings.) Is the perceived lack of droop the only thing you were unimpressed with? I'm more curious to know how the car handles (corner entry/midpoint/ corner exit, acceleration, braking, rough vs bumpy surfaces, etc.) and utimately, what kind of lap times it can achieve compared to other buggies.

The punctured bladder wouldn't be caused by lack of droop, but by the shock piston retaining nut hitting the bladder upon uptravel/shock compression. It could be a design issue, defective part, or user error. I wasn't there, so I can't comment. I suppose that's one way to test an emulsion bladder!

There are a few videos of the car out now, and it looks like a pretty decent performer. That's hard to overlook.
