Any helpful tips when putting together this kit? I’m looking at getting the FOX Kashima shock bodies because I have FOX FACTORY suspension on my mountain bike 😂. Does anyone know what shock caps Ongaro is using in the photo below (I know the buggy is an older model)?

Wondering if Associated has a new model coming down the pipeline. Several online shops have the b3.2 on sale.

If you have greased the pillow balls it is not a good idea, grease will attract dirt and loc the balls.
You should run those dry or put graphite with a pencil on th balls and pillow caps.

So far the build is going alright. I purchased stainless steel screws because the kit ones suck. I built the shocks with the FOX Kashima bodies and the front ones had a bad thread pattern. I had to force the cartridges on with a shock tool and as you can see from the pics below, they won’t tighten all the way. They’re stuck. I sent an email to Associated for a replacement and am waiting to hear from them. The instruction manual is horrible as compared to Serpent, HB, Tekno, and XRay. Some parts are not clear as to wear screws go (like rear shock tower linkage hole placement).

If you think the kit steel screws suck, you're in for a world of even more hurt with the stainless steel ones. Stainless is about the same hardness as grade 2 titanium and will strip quickly. You're better off getting aftermarket blued steel fasteners, or for weight savings, grade 5 titanium. Also make sure your screwdrivers are good quality and well maintained.

Stainless ones have been perfect, no stripping. I use an assortment.. Hudy, Arrowmax, Revolution

More progress.. I’m very impressed with the servo mounts and receiver/battery box layout. I’d definitely buy another Associated.. I wouldn’t prefer it over my Hot Bodies, but still a well thought out quality buggy (except for the screws …. 😂
