Default Losi 8ight RTR Upgrades

Newbie here to 1/8 Buggy's. I recently picked up a used Losi 8ight RTR ( first version) and was wondering what's some good upgrades to start out with? Also what parts from newer version (3.0,4.0,X) be swapped over to the RTR? Thanks for the help/info!!

I looked for this topic tonight after the FedEx guy delivered to me a Losi 8ight RTR but doesn't say 2.0 or anything. It was on sale at one of my fav hobby shops for less than $500 and the upper suspension arms are fixed plastic or composite type. I wanted to get back into the 1/8 buggy again since NovaRossi RX5s were popular but I waited and started out w/ brushless. Fun stuff!

I can see that this particular model is a clearance item but I will enjoy hopping it up and rippin it up! I like adjustable turnbuckles for all the upper suspension links, etc.

Thanks for this - bookmarked!

I have every hop up ever made for that buggy that will never be used, message me if u need anything. It is basically an rtr 2.0 from back in the day. Not the current Losi 8x 2.0 but the original line that used standard size screws like 3/32, the new car uses metric m3/m4 screws and is a completely different buggy however that buggy u have had so many option parts it’s unfathomable where to start. I miss those days. Like I said I have boxes of parts for it brand new that I will never use if u need anything message me cause I would love to send it to someone who will use it. I’m in Cali.

The only thing to start with is just driving and the try to feel and work on the behaviour you do not like.
