Seems we have shifted into the high speed, higher grip level track conditions. Not completely, but a lot more.

I will say that some of the platforms are faster on specific surfaces. When I still drove a Kyosho MP9, I really had a hard time on tight, high bite, smooth tracks keeping pace with say a Losi or Xray. But take us to an outdoor rough track? I could punish those cars. I now drive an HB car. For me it is very balanced. Pretty good anywhere I go. I still feel the car is better on outdoor conditions but still good on a grooved track.

I think the Mayako car is a great platform. If I were not driving an HB, I would very much consider driving the car.

I wish nothing but the best for David. IMO he is 1 of the top 3 drivers in the world right now. Very capable of winning with any car.

Have fun and enjoy racing.
Drivers that have the skill/talent to finish 1st in a regional/national/International race have that pace potential with any of the current crop of buggies.

They can all be honed to drive the way they need - it's just a matter of time, practice and learning how to get the best out of the gear they choose to run with.

The choice of cars we have in 2022 is amazing. None of them perform badly.

Any of 6 drivers could have won. Davide Ongaro's flame out cost him dear. And that's the thing with a 45 minute race - anything can happen. One stall, or a bad pit and you're race is compromised - even if you've driven fine and got the pace.

But none of this will matter when it comes to buying a buggy - people will run with whatever they think is winning the most races or fits best with their idea of what value/quality is.

Mayako winning the Euros is a major, major result for the image of the brand and will inevitably result in more sales.

How many Mayakos will there be at the next Euro's? Or the next World's? I'm taking a punt and saying double.

No real pillow ball system
it is a C-hub made to meet pillowball geometry and caracteristics

The plan was always to have these kits, but the increase in shipping costs caused Mayako to offer them sooner. I think it’s a good move as well. There has been a lot of interest from drivers, but the over all cost I think prevented a lot of people who would have otherwise bought them. But Mayako has seen an increase in cars sold since the Nitro became available to the public. And the response has been very positive.

They aren't being offered any sooner than planned. Mayako isn't for everyone. That will never change. Why be like everyone else, offer discounts to everyone, and help ruin the industry. No thanks.

Hi JQ. Hope all is well. Curious why the KPI 0 and KPI 1 you didn't just incline the spindle and decided to incline the hub also rather than use the same hub from the KPI 0 and just have it sit at an angle ?

Because then you are moving the upper link location and you have all kinds of clearance issues.

Default Mayako MX8

I saw one of these cars at the track the other day; certainly interesting. I love the design; as the owner put it "the more you look the more you'll see" - no joke. If I were not so heavily invested in my HB and all of the commensurate gear I'd certainly give this brand a try. One popped up on the for sale section the other day and sold in minutes...

Yes switching costs are real thing for many consumers, which is why some companies pursue an aggressive pricing strategy or give incentives to early adopters. Tesla did this with free lifetime charging and Samsung with free earbuds for a pre order. I know Mayako is a great buggy and the support of the community is really good, but they could be loosing some market share because of their pricing and accessibility.

I'd like to get behind the wheel of one for an afternoon test session though!
