Anyone else run into this? Insert cracks both front arms in same spot. Assuming that's where the twisting load is (because swaybar) and it's just twist cracking the carbon inserts.
Plan b is to just run doubled up inserts. Thoughts?

Run double.

Thats the plan. I'll probably send one of the broken ones off and have some 3mm inserts milled.

Sanded the middle of the two pieces and bonded them together with elastomer epoxy. Bolted down to cure. Need to get some 3mm longer screws for the extra thiccness. The originals more or less fell apart after removal at the crack, even with the super glue temp repair.

If these don't hold up I may epoxyfill the void in the arm below the insert to add stiffness in that spot, and try again.

qual 3rd/23 elec truggies. Had some hot laps though, best fast3 of the field. If I keep it clean definitely a chance to win the season ender. Mains tomorrow. Front 4-5 drivers in the a main really close. Double inserts worked great. Truck feels amazing.

Well unfortunately we finished 5th. Got plowed over a few times by traffic but thats just how it is. Turned the 3 fastest laps of the A which is what really matters including a 30.x lap. Truck is good.

Last race of 2022 next weekend. Haven't touched a thing so we're just going to run it back and hope for a podium. Truck is good.

Took TQ and ended up 2nd in the A in E-Truggy after an unfortunate tangle I got stuck on a pipe stake. Super happy with the truck. Not looking to make any changes, which is a great place to be. Buggy getting better too, finish 4th.

token,
debating on leaving in kit pistons or running the new piston setup (RD DNC 2021 setup)? That's what they're running now a days still? Would you say to go with the new setup as an overall all around shock package?
I switched to the 5 holes on the 1.0 back when it was first recommended, haven't changed em since, only oil weight according to temps.
I'm debating as the local guys run box stock, just emulsion instead of bladder and dominate

Sup - My Cheyenne or Dunfords is good. Currently working on something else. Running 7 hole Ultimate pistons at the moment, and I dont think I'll be taking those out. Stock setup is ok, but I like my truck to feel more into the track. thats where the 5 hole are better. 6 hole stock is more forgiving. I dont run bladders at all.

I am considering trying this. How is the balance with that set up? You essentially moved 120g from the left rear of the chassis to the right front of it. Batteries weigh in around 400g on the L side, the R side contains the motor 350g, esc 122g, servo 70g, & most of the center diff. Would make me think it's right side heavy? I guess if the new buggy is that way there must be something to it..

It's not. It made a great truck an extremely great truck. Lowering the cg just the smallest amount really helps it slide around and turn on power. It's the fastest truggy at my track. Try it.
P.S. crossweight matters more then l/r weight. This balances it almost perfectly on the scales.
