Mugen Starter Box replacement motors?
#1

I'm an idiot and burned up the motors in my Mugen Off-Road starter box. What is everyone using for replacements? $55 for the OEM Mugen ones the best deal? $20 per motor on mugenracing.com, then tax, then $12 shipping.

I did a little research and I think you should be fine with just buying two brushed 550 can motors. Two Traxxas Titan 12t motors. Or you could go a bit more expensive and buy rebuildable brushed racing motors, but it looks like people have had good luck with the Traxxas motors. You can really use any set of 550 size motors. Redcat 550 16t motors look to be $12 online. Dynamite 15t for $15. Yeah Racing 12t for $12.
You could also fabricate some motor mounts for two 775 motors to have the strongest bump box at the track! ...weird flex though

I don't no anything about electric motors but I've got 2 losi starter boxes and 5 Orion ultimate 13.5 motors I got in a trade that I planned to use for a 2wd Losi 22! But that never happened. I would love to use those things if they are stronger but I don't have any idea. I'll probably end up trading them for a starter box eventually
