Associated GT2 Project Resurrected

So I bought a GT2 Factory Team Kit 8 years ago, put it together about 50% then somewhat lost interest. I pulled it out today and figured I could sell it or do something with it.

I figured I would ask the masses. I don’t think I want to complete the build as a nitro truck, the technologies have changed a lot in the past 8 years so maybe a brushless setup? What are your thoughts, suggestions, advice?

Yes I can be done, but why? If you want electric you would be better off getting a modern electric truck. If you have lots of extra money, time, patience, and aren’t too concerned about performance then do the swap. I used to race the GT back in its heyday and it was a blast. If someone made a modern one I’d buy one in a heartbeat.

There is a thread on here somewhere to convert a T5m to nitro that looked pretty sweet. This was such a fun class its too bad it died.

I agree that it wouldn't really be worth while converting it to electric. If its never been used you could probably get a decent amount for it to sell it and then just use that money towards buying a modern electric truck if thats what you want to run.

There are "old school" groups on facebook that you would probably have better luck selling it on than you would on here,

I am the one who makes (made) the T5m to nitro conversion. Currently working on a t6.1 conversion that uses the stock t6.1 transmission, no more hunting down discontinued parts.

Reminds me of a Losi xxx-nt2 I have buried in my parent's garage. Wish I did some research back then before realizing 1/10scale off road nitro was dead lol.
