I totally agree. The purpose of being sponsored (even at a low level) is to learn from the top of the team. Pitting with the team is a learning experience and is what all of us would enjoy. Learning and growing is a good thing for a racer.

Sitting with the team is nice at big races, yes you can lean a lot. Especially on wrenching. Tekno is one of the teams to be on as far as welcoming every racer under the tent. Some teams are not so much. There is no secrets with these guys. I’ve heard good things about serpent also

I noticed some vendors have teams and others have cliques.

Since when has a father son relationship been considered riding on coattails? We call that parenting, being a dad welcoming in the next generation. Riding the coattails is being a splinter in some pros ass taking all his back up stuff. Last time I checked the BOY y’all are talking about has his own sponsors and is posting his own fast laps. Pretty awesome.

in years past i have seen this happen , i am not necessarily referring to this years goings on .

i have seen in years past where a fast driver who is not on travel team has made their way over seas to DNC and raced the non factory class (when the only two classes were sponsored and non sponsored ) and won or did extremely well .

relax there Matt

Joey was on the "On The Tone" podcast tonight. Lots of insight into the future of the DNC, the Silver state race and some big plans he has for next year. Well worth a listen. https://www.facebook.com/onthetonerc...5280907066726/

Was a really good show. Joey is super down to earth..

BUT.. At the end, it sure seems that the race is moving to Thornhill.

Or maybe the indoor venue he is having the Silver State race this year. But yeah, sounded like Thornhill was the biggest possibility.
