Default Old traxxas revo 3.3 issue

Hello everyone, i have an old 27mhz version revo 3.3 that has been getting dust for years. I saw that both diffs were leaked so i proceed to rebuild them. The truck has only few runs and x-rings are completely worn out. Ive been reading and it seems that there are some diff upgrade parts. Also are there any o-rings that fit better than stock ones? Thanks in advance.

Hey there, so when you rebuild the diffs any 5mmx1.5mm o-ring setup will work, but shouldn't have a problem with the stock ones if done right. Highly suggest you pick up some green slime and lube all the o-rings when assembling them. Make sure they are flush and lubed well and you won't have a problem, but green slime is a must have.

Also what parts do i need to rebuild the diff?
https://www.amainhobbies.com/traxxas...ra5382x/p22979
https://www.amainhobbies.com/traxxas...tra3978/p22574
https://www.amainhobbies.com/traxxas...-tra5381/p4045
Ive been told tra3978 is a better option than tra5381. 3978 has some U shape bushings.
Im wondering if the support block that comes with 5382x is a must have

The first and second link would be your best bet here. The only thing that is really different in the 2 diffs carriers that you listed is one is made up of thicker metal. If you diff is in good shape, you should be able to get all the oil out and reuse parts. Also, I'd suggest putting in heavy oil if you're not racing and you'll see a huge increase in traction. I think my Revo currently has 50k center 30k front/rear. May be another thing you want to look into while rebuilding is putting a center diff in, helps.

The first one (5382, 3978) is what you want for your spider gears and housing. If you need a new ring and pinion, https://www.amainhobbies.com/traxxas...ra5379x/p19109
