R. Batlle came fifth overall at the KRacing Winter Edition, La Nuncia Track, Spain weekend last. According to the report posted to Red RC, he was in the running for TQ. In the podium photo, his Mugen sports a number '9', so his finish improved from the quals. Speculating here, but looking like he might be working up the factory set-up prior to marketing release?
Anxious to see what changes for the 8. I'll be sticking with my 7, but still support Mugen in bringing the best it can to 1/8 nitro buggy.
Cheers, 'AC'

To live in USA and look at one bad picture from a race in Spain and thinking he did use the new car is a LOT of speculating!!!
All track tests have been done on secret tracks!
Mugen Seiki is testing a lot in Japan on their track before only a few top drivers in the rest of the world get the car to test.

too bad kyosho EDIT: MUGEN doesn't do it the american way : show one tiny bit of the new car to get people hooked ! if it is well done, people will wait to buy the mbx8 instead of buying another brand !
i'm sure some folks out there will wait if you give them some hope ! it still works for jesus !

To clear up some speculation/misinformation ITT:
-Robert Battle has said he was running the 7R in all recent events, has only had the MBX8 for a couple of weeks, and will close out the (racing) year with the 7r
-I asked on his FB about the Eco and he said this: " I dont know exactly... but we will come with the ebuggy soon for sure!"
-Elliott Boots has been testing new E-buggy parts as per his FB so one can assume Kyosho is planning an update as well.
I think manufacturers are finally starting to figure out the best time in the year to release a new model: September/october for 1/10th scale and dec/jan/feb for 1/8 scale. Why on earth would you release a 1/8 buggy in july, halfway through the outdoor season?

"soon" ... i hate that word !

His response is vague, not "soon".
Mugen will release the new car, then focus on what changes the ECO should have, get, works best, etc....
I am in no rush for a new Eco anything, my MBX7R Eco and MBX7TR Eco are just fine, they work, and there is nothing I want more out of them.
When I do get an MBX8 i will be happy to learn what makes the new car go well, before I worry about any other MBX8 platforms.
...Patience, I got it for days.
