Time to start thinking about the 2012 8 Hour of the 'PLEX Enduro!!!

The 2011 Enduro was the biggest and best we've ever had. 8 hours, 9 teams and close racing all the way to the end!!!

Looking for the 2012 race to be even better!!

When? Sunday January 29th

Entry? $50/Team

Format? Same as last year
-Three or four drivers per team (one driver, one marshal and one/two in the pits)
-One chassis
-8 Hours of non-stop racing action!!!

Schedule?
-Open practice & pit setup Saturday January 28th after oval racing & track setup, around 6PM
-Doors open @ 6AM Sunday January 29th
-Practice until 9:15AM
-Drivers meeting @ 9:20AM
-Team check in @ 9:45AM
-Race begins @ 10AM
-Pizza will be brought in between NOON & 1PM
-Race ends @ 6PM
-Awards & Pics @ 6:20PM

Classes?
TCS Mini Spec
-TCS Rules apply
-17.5 B/L allowed w/non-adjustable ESC and motor timing at Neutral or 30 degree setting
-Any Tamiya 60D tire allowed
-20,000mah battery limit*

Trans Am Spec
-USVTA Rules apply
-5.0 FDR limit
-25,000mah battery limit*

Open
-Any 1/12th or 1/10th electric chassis
-Any ROAR 3.7v or 7.4v battery
-Any ROAR B/L motor

*Mah limit is for all the batteries combined that the team will use for the race

General rules
-Teams can be either three or four drivers, one driving, one marshaling and one or two in the pits
-All team members must run the car a minimum of one hour
-All teams must have a marshal on the track at all times
-No more than two team members in the pit lane during pit stops
-All driver changes must be made while the car is in pit lane
-No extra cutouts in the body to aid in pit stops
-No part of the chassis may extend outside the body, including the bumper
-No powered tools may be used in the pit lane
-All team members must run at least one hour on the track

As usual, let's have some fun and try to get as many teams together as we can. Look beyond the regular racers and see if we can get everyone involved.
