Time to start thinking about onroad racing!!! The HobbyPLEX Winter Carpet Onroad Series is just around the corner.
As we have in the past, we'll run once a month starting in October and finishing up in March for a six race series.
Your best 5 of the 6 races will count for your points in the series championship for each class.
This years dates will be October 22nd, November 19th, December 10th, January 14th, February 4th and March 4th.
Doors open @ 8AM and qualifying starts @ 11:30AM
Entry fees: $20 first class, $10 each additional class, 12 & under $5 for any class
Classes will be:
17.5 Touring Car - ROAR Rules, Sweep QTS 28 tires
17.5 1/12th - ROAR Rules
Vintage Trans Am - USVTA Rules
USGT - USVTA Rules
Porsche Cup - Spec Rules
Formula 1 - USVTA Rules, 25.5 motor, "TCS" or "CRC" tires only
Mini - TCS Rules
Race format will remain the same as the past few years. Open qualifying heats for the first round which will seed the mains based on your best three consecutive laps. Triple mains for all classes. TC, 1/12th, F1 & Mini will be IFMAR, best 2 of 3. VTA, USGT & Porsche Cup each race will be scored as one main and total points will determine the round winner and your best 13 of 18 finishes will determine the overall champions at the end of the series.
Points will be the usual as well. 1st - 50, 2nd - 45, 3rd - 42, 4th - 40, 5th - 39, one point down for each position, TQ = 2. Final series race March 4th points will be multiplied by 1.5 (1st - 75, 2nd - 67.5, 3rd - 63, etc..).
The only change for this year. We must have a minimum of four cars entered to run any class at any race.
Mark the dates on your calendar and get ready for another season of some fun and some great racing!!

Awesome, I've blocked out the dates on my calendar. Count me in for F1, 1/12, and USGT!
Sound like several new F1's will be hitting the track this season. Should be great!

Hello. I am planning to run 17.5 1/12th scale this year. I also have an RJ Speed Legend car and a World GT (1/10 pan) car for my young sons. We are just looking to race and have fun without being too serious over the winter months. Any suggestion as to what class they could run in on race days so that I would not need to purchase different cars? Thank you

USGT, most likely F1, and possibly Mini for me.

Is there a spec motor for F1 or can we run any ROAR Legal 25.5?
