Busy weekend at Island Speedway.
Off road carpet racing on the 30th with practice on the 29th.
On road racing practice on the 31st and racing on the 1st.

Hey Midwest racers. I highly recommend this track to anyone racing carpet in the Midwest. Located in eastern Iowa near the Quad Cities. Nice pit spaces, big Black carpet track, Drivers stand is large and tall. The races are really well run. They race VTA, USGT, SEMI, 1/12 17.5 stock, as well as other classes on the onroad race days, as well as a wide range of classes on the offroad race days. They lay out some awesome courses and offroad jumps are always well designed and technical. Check out their facebook page for details and photos. Points races of on or off road pretty much every weekend. This is a super nice facility and would love to see some new faces there.

We had probably the most interesting vta race this weekend that we have had all year. Layout fast pretty technical and kept the racers close all the way to the end of the race. I think that the winner won by less than .5 of a second.

This Saturday will be off road and Sunday will Rocket League.

On road returns on the 17th.

On road racing returns this Saturday. Doors open at 8:00 AM, racing at noon.
Classes are USGT, USVTA, 17.5 1/12 scale, Tamiya semi trucks, open touring car, rookie. And possibly an off road class.
