ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!

Here's some info you've all been waiting for.... The 2016 Spring Classic is on the calendar and we think it's going to be the best one yet!!!

The FIFTH annual 2016 Spring Classic will be held April 1st-3rd on our 100'x50' high traction indoor track at Bluegroove Hobbies & RC Raceway. Pit tables (with shelves), chairs, and power are provided, and the hobby shop is fully stocked with tires and parts. There are plenty of hotels around the area as well as some great restaurants and tons of places to kick back after a long day of racing... all within a stone's throw of our track! Race hotel TBD.

Stock Classes must run ROAR approved ESCs in "Blinky" mode. We WILL be doing tech for all spec classes.

Traction compounds are allowed at BGRC, but use please use common sense when it comes to smell.The shop is stocked with proven additives such as Sticky Situation Tire Solutions, Grip Gravy Tire Sauce, and of course Sticky Kicks RC to keep your ride GLUED to the track!

Friday controlled practice will begin at noon 4/1 and go until 7pm.

Doors open at Mandatory drivers meeting @ 8:45 Saturday 4/2. Three 5min qualifiers (best 3 of 4, qual points) will begin directly after drivers meeting, with a fourth last chance qual on Sunday morning. Sunday 4/3 doors open at 7am with controlled practice from 7-8:30. Last Chance Qualifier will begin at 9am. Qualifying tie breakers are: 1) total combined laps/time (ROAR) and 2) fastest time with lowest points (IFMAR).

Single 8 minute 'A' mains and single 6 minute lower mains. All classes will lock the top 8 qualifiers into mains with two bumps filling out the grid.

ProLite SCT (17.5t 2wd)
Stock Truck
Stock 2wd Buggy
13.5t 4wd Buggy
Pro2 SCT (Modified 2wd) ***provisional***
Modified Truck
Modified 2wd Buggy
Modified 4wd Buggy
*note - all classes must have a minimum of five entries to run*

What are the recommendations for tire pattern and compound?

Dirt Webs in gold and Electrons MC clay are the most popular for stadium truck and buggy, Crosslinks clay are new and people are using them also. There is so much grip just about any clay compound tire will probably work. Hope to see you there!!

Awesome 3 days of racing, glad to see the out of towners and hope all had a good time racing with us!!

Been working on getting the videos up I recorded the last couple of days, captured most of the 4th round of qualifiers and the mains on Sunday. Here's a link to the youtube playlist--
