Default advice on a f1

Would like to get a formula 1 car. I love the look and intricacy of the design and build. What's a good car to start with that isn't crazy expensive. Not sure if I would race it or not. But if I do what are the Specs to race? Thanks in advance for the help.

I would recommend checking out the following pages for getting started-

At the Plex we've got a good group that races F1 on a regular basis. The new carpet works very well for these cars. We all run 21.5 motors with esc's in blinky mode and I think most are running a Tamiya car (either f104 or f104 v2) with Pit/Tamiya 571/572 tires. If racing, I would look at putting in a shorty battery.

However, if you weren't going to race and wanted to get one for scale looks, I would probably look at the fgx chassis since it has a really cool and fairly scale suspension setup. And they can be made to be competitive for racing but have some weak points.

This weekend is the Tamiya TCS race with F1 as one of the classes. F1 is also run weekly on Wednesday nights. Also it's run in the Plex series races.
Stop by sometime and check them out.
