Default what would happen if?

Wondering would happen is you hooked up a 18v battery from a cordless drill to an RC car.

If your esc is a 4s or high capable it would be fine. It would look funny, but sure it would work.

Craftsmen used to sell a toy car that ran on the same lithium battery that the craftsman 18 volt drills and portable power tools use. If sure if your esc can handle 18 volt and the battery has a positive and negative terminal; your car will run.

You would have to gear accordingly. If your esc could handle the power, it will run like a bat out of h*ll. You figure a 6S battery is around 22.2 volts, and they make stuff that will run that. 18 volts is just under what a 5S battery is rated.
