Thumbs up NEW CARPET @ the 'PLEX!!!!

All right guys, with new carpet to put down the end of this month, I'm looking for some help in removing the old stuff and installing the new!!

To make this happen, we need as much help as possible. If any one has any experience or any tools to help out, please let me know.

We won't be racing Wednesday Oct, 23rd or 30th so I except to have a bunch of help those two nights. I plan on removing the old carpet the 21st thru 24th. We'll be hosting the Short Course Showdown the 25th - 27th. Monday the 28th will be cleanup from the weekend. We'll have Tuesday Oct, 29th thru Friday Nov, 1st to get the new carpet put down.

This is a huge deal so the more help we can get, the easier it will go.

Let me know ASAP so I can start getting things lined up. Need to know days and times when you would be available. Please post or send me a PM.

THANKS,

Tim Ski

Count me in on both the 23rd & 30th. Maybe another night.
Trowel, carpet knife, scraper.

Add a 5HP shop vac to the list.

The main things would be a carpet roller and a shop-vac or two. We'll rent them if we have to but it would be nice if we didn't. Should have a few trowels & scrapers but extras will be helpful.

The biggest thing that is needed is muscle & time. After clean up, all the outer barriers will be taken down, carpet to be moved around and glued down and then the outer wall has to be put back up.

Thanks to everyone so far, this will make this job much easier!!

Thank to everyone who helped today, much appreciated!!!!

Got the edging up on the north & east side and the first roll is out! Unfortunately it's stuck down more than I expected so it's taking quite a bit of muscle. The best way we found was to cut it into 1'-1 1/2' x 12' strips.

The next three days will be ripping out the rest of the carpet and cleaning the floor.
