TLR 22-4
Well the TLR 22-4 was finally publiclly revealed today and I have to say it looks rather impressive. However being a complete belt drive novice I have no idea when or if I'll pick this up. I am curious though of the opinion of our local TLR drivers on what they think of this buggy? I will say this though, the protruding slipper nut was a rather strange design choice. But that's just my 2 cents.

Holy servo link batman! That thing is long. At leasf they released it as everyone has been asking for one.

They definitely don't seem to be afraid to use really long servo links...case and point the 8ight 3 nitro kit.

Its exactly what most of us have asked for: a beefier xx-4. The drive train and protruding nut is the exact same layout as it was back in 1997, which shows how advanced the xx-4 was back then.
I stayed up last night, watching the breaking bad marathon and checking the TLR site every 10-minutes or so till the info was up. I can't wait. Hopefully I get into the Reedy race and throw down with it in the wheeler class. |
I'm watching the Horizon video with the bald guy and a developer from CA and I just saw a pic of the old XX-4 with the nut protruding so I understand why they did that.

Time for Alex and Derek to start building. Can't wait for the Saturday 4wd races coming soon!

I'm pretty sure one of these will be in my fleet as well. I remember when the XX4 came out, that thing was beast. Now this = even better.

This car looks pretty cool. I'm stoked to see how it works. I'm considering putting the truck the shelf and racing this instead.:tire:

I'll probably be getting one of these in time for the next summer series. 4wd anything always looks fun. I know I enjoyed my 8IghtE.
