Default Iowa Summer Series, race 3. August 17th at 80/35 Raceway

A little over a week away is the third race of the Iowa Summer Series, hosted by 80/35 Raceway in Grimes, IA. Saturday, August 17th we'll see some of the fastest 1/8th and shortcourse drivers in the state battling it out on the 135'x130' outdoor track.

If you are unfamiliar with 80/35 Raceway here's a little information and a few helpful links!

80/35 Raceway is located in Grimes, Iowa right off the interstate. Very easy to find and convenient to get to! There are plenty of hotels around the area as well as some great restaurants and places to kick back after a long day of racing all within a stone's throw of our track

Lots of work over the weekend and things are looking good! Track complete and ready for race three this Saturday!

The track now runs in the opposite direction, clockwise orientation. Neat option line coming into the big roller before the step up, should be a great passing action there!

Track packed in amazingly well with the lawn tractor. Super smooth!

Can't wait for the weekend... See you all on Saturday!

More progress being made on the track... here's some pics from today after another couple watering/packing sessions last night!

And here's a video of how the track layout flows on our Facebook page

We talked about dates for quite awhile and with so many big races going on this time of year it really wasn't possible to stay clear of everything . I know there are a few bummed dsm racers too, because they are in the Omaha summer series. I personally wanted to hold the race after byrons. Oh well theres always next year.
