GT3 - silver can or 21.5 no boost - so basically our USGT class
GT2 - 17.5 no boost
GT1 - 13.5 no boost

I'll be racing GT1 for sure and possibly GT2 (if I can find a Tamiya tub car to borrow) so I'd be up for either 17.5 or 13.5.

Any interest?
I'm in on this. I'll be setting up for GT3 & GT2 I should be ready when we start back up except for a butt-ugly body in GT2. Sorry I can't help you out in GT1 Paul, just not there yet. I'm still learning the lesson "slow is fast"

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I'm thinking of making the trip out to Omaha for the TCS race in February. Is there a set schedule of practice and race times yet? I would be traveling from Indianapolis, and just need to know how to make out my work schedule.

Also, will any tamiya brand tire be legal? I know the asphalt races have a control tire, just want to make sure I am legal.

Thanks, and sorry if these questions have been answered already.

HobbyPlex I'm sure will respond with a better answer but in the past there has been practice all day on Fri (something like 10am to 8pm). Quals on sat... maybe one qual Sunday followed by triple A's. If I remember correctly we've been finishing up 5 or 6 ish on Sunday. Also there is a TCS thread here in the Nebraska forum. http://www.rctech.net/forum/nebraska...b-16-17-a.html Keep checking in there also. Hope you can make the trip!

As far as tires it is pretty open... I don't know of anyone that has used the B's but both A's and C's have been used (and are legal) and should be stocked at the Hobby store.

ok not having run 17.5 or 13.5 for ages I'm wondering what I should do for gearing (FDR)? Anyone remember? 4.5 for 17.5? 5.5 for 13.5?

I'm gonna run a 4.5 to start with in gt3... I'd probably say 4.25 to 4.0, but that's just my 2 cents
