Those are some great giveaways, anyone happen to have any pics of the track layout or is it completed yet?

I believe it is done but they are making changes to it as they fine tune it.

Here are some pics someone posts of it awhile back:

Does the hobbyshop stock a fair amount of parts for the scte and hotbodies d8 cuz it's been 3 months since I've raced , otherwise I'll pick some up local.

Not sure. I would call them at (515)276-8785. Then make the decision based on that.

The track is looking good!

My situation has changed and I'm no longer 100% I can go this weekend. Money suddenly got tight and I only have one class to run. I'm crossing my fingers that something changes for Becca and I to head up.

They dont stock a whole lot for the SCTE so come prepared. We will also have a few things.

i learned this weekend how to dodge at the last second to watch people like you blow clear past the corner!! lol going to be some great racing weather this weekend. practice may be iffy, but it's only a 30% chance. i'm sorry, it's my fault. i washed my car!!

What is your pitting situation there? Like do I need to bring a table, pop up, chairs, ext. Or is there indoor pitting? Just needed to know what I needed to bring.

Also, if I get there at the end of practice Friday night; is that too late to register? I wanted to register at the event, as I'm not sure if I'm going to make it 100% yet

I've never been to this facility, can you camp out at the track by chance? At just about all of the big races I've gone to so far I stay in my easy up pit tent, use tarps for walls, and bring a cot to sleep on. Then none of my stuff walks away during the night time also. Any input would be much appreciated.

Checking the forecast there is 40% chance of rain on Friday and then maybe Sat am. But Sat afternoon into Sunday looks good to go:

http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...2=-93.7409&e=0

Since have more flexibility with a 2 day race format we can adjust the race program around the weather if needed so we will be able to race still.

The store is located at the end of a strip mall so they have a cement parking lot. EZ-UP tents, tables, and folding chairs are the norm. In case of wind you might want to bring weights, straps, etc for the tent:

There are also little islands at the ends of each parking row that has a little bit of grass to pit in. Here is 1 in this picture but don't get fooled, the islands aren't very big:

You can also pit by the store since there is some shade coming off the front of it for most of the day:

If you have a small Featherlite trailer then you can pit out of there:

And of course you can always pit out of your car:

For power there are outlets on the outside of the store and some of the poles in the parking lot. I would bring a 100ft cord just to be safe, but you might only need a shorter one if you can piggy back off someone else already tapped into a pole.

No not really. There was 1 guy there last year with a pop up trailer, but I think he got the ok from the store. I would call them at (515)276 - 8785 to make sure that is ok again this year before you bring your camper. There are some campgrounds around Des Moines so you can look into that too.

You can sign up the day of the race. You only need to pre-register to receive a pit towel and help out our race directors by getting you in the computer early. The majority of racers register at the track the day of a race.

For example last year we had 100 entires online and 218 total when it was all said and done.
