Default Tires for Indoor Mini Racing at Hobbytown in Lincoln

What are people going to use for tires on their mini, specifically the 18t, at the track at Hobbytown in lincoln? Just trying to get a feel as this will be my first year racing minis at Hobbytown.

Kyle,

I haven't seen too many people on here that race at Southpointe. I know I'll be there to try to get you in the right direction. I just don't see how foams are the ticket there. Foam on foam doesn't seem right. We'll see.. I may be running foams myself after a couple races LOL.

I was in there asking the same thing. I didn't get a solid answer. I know they are doing mini sprint cars every other week. I'm not into oval racing so that takes a lot of fun out of it for me. But, if you like oval.. that's one class. The others seem up in the air right now. I think they race the rc18t's and they will try and race the 1/24 Losi minis that just came out.. We'll see...

the hobbytown store in lincoln races all the 1/18 and 1/24 scale vehicles. if you have something to race, bring it in and we will find a class for it.

kyle, for off road i would run either one of these

LOSB1184 mini L8m mounted
LOSB1166 mini L8m unmounted

or

LOSB1181
Rear Street Treads Glued, Chrome Wheels: Mini-T(2) mounted

LOSB1170
Front/Rear Tires w/Foam, Street Meat Tread: Mini-T unmounted

these tires make pritty good grip on my little track

I have a question. Is it going to be a touring track? Or, is there going to be any jumps and bumps. If not, would you be opposed to us building some nice ones for you? I remember a storage issue in the past. I would be happy to bring them and take them on race nights. LMK man!

its usually just a touring car kinda track but sometime we do elevation changes. ususally just setting tables up under the track and supporting the sections going up it and down it.
