Thumbs up '10-'11 HobbyPLEX Winter Carpet Onroad Series

Winter Carpet Series dates are set for the 2010-2011 season!!!

October 24th, November 21st, January 23rd, February 27th and March 27th with practice & pit set-up available the Saturday night before beginning at 6PM. Your best 4 of 5 races will count and the final race will be 1.5 points.

Schedule:
Saturday - Practice/Pit Set-up 6PM-9PM
Sunday --- Doors Open ---- 9AM
Practice --------- 9AM-12PM
Registration ---- 11-12PM
Racing Begins -- 12:30PM

Entry Fees will again be $15 first class/$10 each additional and $5 for Junior.

For the classes we will run the same as we do weekly so it looks like this:

Junior Mini, TCS Mini, Trans Am, 17.5 Rubber Touring, 13.5 1/12th

The specific rules for each of the classes can be found on our website HERE.

Our Winter Carpet Series was a great success last year and we hope to make it even better this year. We will be working throughout the season to get sponsorship for our series so we'll have cool trophies and prizes to give out at the final event.

Questions/Comments? Lets have 'em.

Are you thinking of going to 17.5 in 1/12th? If so, when will you make the decision?

We will definitely run the first two races with 13.5. The switch to 17.5 will depend on our ROAR Nats bid. Stock and Super Stock are both 17.5, just Sportsman mode or open on the ESC.

Potentially forcing people go buy new stuff for 1/12th... Again... I thought the class was already posted as 13.5. Guess it's fair to say that I'd like to see a little hp left in the 1/12th cars. I guess it it what it is, but it would be nice for folks to know before they go buying stuff to race -- if they haven't already.

It almost made up for it except for the smoke yesterday.

This weekend is the first Winter Series race!!! Hope to see a good turnout to get things rolling. Oval looks pretty good, the onroad side could use a boost.

It looks like we'll have enough so we will be running a USGT class for the Winter Series. Let see if we can get a few of the Wednesday regulars out on a Sunday.

How was it?

After missing the last 3 races from work, thought I was good to go this Sunday until my sister called to make sure I was attending the family function I evidently agreed to 6 weeks ago.

Arg.

Missing everyone at the Plex.
