But how am I going to get to your level if I only race when I feel like it? I also won't race on tusedays to many close calls comming home. That scared me so bad that I won't go any where my first night off from now on, unless I get at least 8 hours or more that day. I want to be able to run with you and not get lapped.

David... that is a battle a lot of people are facing. What I've noticed is that everyone is getting fast. You can never just give up. You've went to a hand full of races and expect to be at a faster level. That will only happen with time.

Also, racing isn't about being #1. I can tell you that I don't enjoy racing nearly as much until I have to work hard to win or even get a good placement. Only one person can win a race. Without the other racers it is pointless to even fire the car up. There are a lot of people that would hate to see you go when you are doing so much better than you ever have. The people racing at your level are stoked to be running that fast. I think you and others are doing very well. I'm only here to help point people in the right direction.

Here is my personal advice for you... Don't spend as much time tinkering with the car. If need be.. I can drive it and tell you it's week points. All you need to do is concentrate on driving. A good driver is only .5-1 second slower with a bad car. Once you understand how do drive quickly then it is easy to know what you need out of the car.

I would hate to see you go again...

If you come down early on a Tuesday, I will be happy to spend time with you on the drivers stand coaching you around the track. I can drive your car a few laps and let you know what's up. I did this Saturday for a few other guys. I know the TTR pretty well now and it would be easy to find any weak points in the car's setup.

That looks pretty wild. We should do that with R/C cars.. smoke bombs everwhere and glow sticks mounted all over our cars. Roman candles and wthe works.. haha.. that would be a great 4th of July race.
