Cool New to MT410

I want to get the 410 and have priced it wuth all the extra things I may need. I have a few questions maybe some one can help me with. First, I want to run 6s. Is there any way to run two 3s lipos? And what mah if I need to run a single 6s? Second, should I go to a metal spur gear? What is the best pinion and spur set up for non racing general running./ Is a non sesored Castle 1515 2200kv and Momba X esc a good choice. Any necessary mods to do while first building it? Thanks for any info. Much appreciated.

I'm running the castle 1515 2200kv and mamba x in my truck on 4s. It easily does standing backflips on 4s and goes a little over 50mph. 6s will be insane in this truck, but (2) 3s packs will definitelly fit in the battery tray if insane is what your after. As of now i'm still running the plastic spur. If it doesn't last then I'll upgrade to the metal spur.

I only asked because I have at least six 3s LiPos from my E Revo and figure it could save me some bucks by using two in series like the e Revo. Thanks for the ideas.

The battery tray is 148x50mm. The 6S batteries will be in the 4000-5000mah size. The steel spur isn't necessary, Tekno uses very high quality plastic/composite. If you drive through a lot of rocks it would be good to have though. The Castle system fits good. A 15T pinion is a good starting point. The only thing it needs out of the box is an aluminum steering horn. The Tekno multi-tool is highly recommended. https://www.amainhobbies.com/tekno-r...kr1115/p467512

So if I run two 3s 5000 bats, they won't fit. Correct? Since each are 138mm long. I need single bats 4s or 6s. What do you all run? The 6s gets pricey. That is why I wanted to run two 3s, which I have 6 of. tia

depending on the height of your packs, you can either stack them on their sides or on top of each other. They will definitely fit laying down on top of eachother.

So I run on 6s (2) 3s 5000mah 50c batteries, Castle monster 2 esc with castle 2200kv motor, Hitech hs-5955tg servo. 15th tooth pinion gear stock (plastic) spur gear. Not sure what the exact material the spur is made of but it's strong as hell. I've beat on my mt410 extremely hard and still have not broke or even begun to wear it out. So I'd run that it's less rotational mass for motor to turn. I do have a steel spur that I did buy expecting the plastic to fail but here I am 6 months later still running plastic. As for tires I run proline badlands 3.8's. I did have to put a fan on the motor because it seemed to get hot. I would recommend a 1800kv -2000kv I feel 2200kv is a bit much personally. I was running a proline jeep body. It's a good learning body because of the back of jeep give a nice cushion if u land on your back doing backflips unlike the truck bodys lol.

Over 50mph on 4s? What gearing are you running?

stock spur, 17t pinion, pro-line super swampers. I get to right around 50 on my gps. Tire's are ballooning pretty bad at the point. My guess would be 52 or 53mph if I could control it going full throttle.

They come with a 44T spur so with a 17t pinion I suppose getting close to 50mph with a 2200kv is about right. That's probably why your motor is getting hot haha.

Tekno rubicon said his 2200kv motor gets hot on 6s.... My temps are good on 4s. 6s almost always leads to heat issues with a 2200kv motor from my experience.

Some people have heat issues with 2200kv and 4S. Using 2200kv and 6S is for speed runs or very limited use.

Correct. 6s on a 2200kv is for limited use and speed runs. I have 2 3s batteries that I use specifically for 6s in my basher buggy and they are hardly ever used anymore. Got tired of getting too hot and having to let things cool down in less than 5 minutes.
