Default My t maxx is slow and weak

I know it's not the fuel to air mixture it may be the spur gear being too tight but it was working fine. My t maxx is so slow now it only gets up to speed in WOT it's staring to scare me because i don't want to spend any more money on this thing. Its one problem after another. Could fuel be the problem? Any help would be great.

First this needs to be posted in the nitro off road forum.

Second, habe you tried retuning the carb?

The spur may be too tight but its working fine? Does it rev and just not go? If so then it sounds like a bad clutch.

It's not the wrong forum. This is the monster truck forum and the TMaxx is a monster truck. Don't worry about it, you chose the right forum. The Nitro Off road forum is more for Buggies and Truggys.

Yup I would check the mesh of the spur, then check the clutch for issues. Any clicking or others sounds of any sort??

Take a video and upload it to YouTube for us. That's the best way to get good advice.

^^^This. Just throwing random things out there doesn't help much.

One random thing that will help, learn to troubleshoot. Try just rolling it, any funny sounds or is it hard to roll?

Another, describe your issue(s) better. There's lots of reasons why a vehicle won't move without lots of throttle, but how does the engine sound? Is it popping and farting? Does it scream to high rpm but not move very fast? Or is it running fine and just struggling like you're trying to tow a full size car with your RC truck?

And if you think your spur gear mesh is wrong fix it. Bad mesh ruins gears. If it's set too tight it will cause excessive drag and if it's tight enough could be the source of your issue.
