Does anyone know????

Not long ago I purchased a 1/10 scale monstertruck called a TYRANNOSAURUS. It came pre built and I had been warned about buying cheap trucks from the net....anyhow after a few tanks the clutchbell and spur gears(which are both aluminium) started to wear and the teeth almost became needle sharp b4 finally sheering off. I have no idea where to get parts for this truck. The guy I bought it from is as good as a kick in the head with any information and the instruction manual has no guide as to where to purchace spares. :weird: The only information on the instructions that seems it may help is an ITEM NO.:94108 Can anyone help???

ALWAYS buy by a brand that you know WILL have replacement parts, so when things break, you can fix it! it sounds like you got a cheep, car from where? Asia? :weird: getting replacement parts will be very hard, so if i were you, i would sell the truck for as much as i can get for it, save up some more for a reliable, part available truck, like a t-maxx or something like that. basicly, cheep trucks dont perform well, or stay together well.

i had a similar situation, exept it was a generic Mini-z car that i bought from asia for 25$. after driving it around, i bumped it in a wall, and the plastic part that held the moter on broke, i looked for about 5 hours on the internet, but found no replacement part. :flaming: since it was useless, i decided to put a firecracker on it, and watch it blow to pieces! :)

i dont sugest blowing you r truck up, but sell it ! an buy a good truck! simple as that. :)

I bought the ATOMIC WARHEAD. Same company Hi Speed... Well the radio, receiver, fuel tank were shot when I got it. 3 weeks later I got replacement parts from the store I got it from on EBay and the rear gear case is now shot. Lesson Learned... Do not listen to the wife when buying RC to say a measly $50!!! :tire:

I remembered your post and though you would like to know that I was able to find a store on EBay that has replacement parts for a lot of these POS's. They are in the UK too...

EBAY Store: meloD

hey man u got that truck for like 200 bucks didnt u? ROFL man that truck aint worth shizz but on ur part failing u can try other brands like megatech etc.... because usually these trucks are HOT [stolen] and they rip all the stickers off them and rebrand them so u mite wana try some other manufacturers or go down to ur local hobby shop and see if they have anything similar or somthing u can modify to fit u know wati mean? its just a matter of creativity and thought i know u can do it man [i know i can certainly do it :P]

Hey Proud... I am going to be straight with you... I don't like the fact that I bought a POS because I was being cheap and thought I could save a buck. I don't like the fact that you stated anything about anyone buying stolen goods either. If you know somehting about these stolen goods you need to report it to your local authorities instead of flaming on this forum... :flaming:

Now these vehicles are produce by the same company Hi Speed. As a matter of fact I have been in contact with the manager in China about mine and the problems I am having. I am sure he would be highly offended to know that you are calling him a theaf! I am pretty sure EBay would also like to know this info too...

If you know of a store/site that has parts... State so.. otherwise no further comments are needed... :tire:

Looking at your signature thing looks like your in Aust.

I too have been looking at the himoto/hispeed/atomic cars. You get a whole range of opinions ranging from there a complete waste of money to these are some of the best value kits around. I will reserve judgement until I see one actually running.

But in the meantime, if you are in Aust, do a google search for plaig rc. I've never used them personally. But looking at the site and their forum they are local and seem to stock a lot of parts for himoto/hispeed/atomic and have had some good feedback. Pricing also seems reasonable
