E-Maxx ?
Hey folks , I'm new here & relatively new to ground based R/C ( I've been flying quadcopters for a couple years )
I had an old Stampede sitting around for several years . It sat because the NiMH batteries were just such a pain . Then a bud introduced me to LiPo's . I blew the dust off the Stampede & guess what ??? I'M BACK !!! I'm looking at getting an E-Maxx this winter & plan to do some upgrades . I will getting a brushed version & the powertrain will remain STOCK . What I'm looking for is some advice from you here as to what LiPo's & charger I should run ?( For the E-maxx ) The Stampede will still be used & I would like whatever charger I buy to be compatible with the LiPo's I have for the Stampede. Thank you in advance for all comments . Digger . |
A decent budget battery charger that works very well http://dynamiterc.com/Products/Defau...rodID=DYNC3010
Can't go wrong with SMC batteries http://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?...ory&path=67_97 |

Can't go wrong with SMC batteries http://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?...ory&path=67_97 If only charging mild 5000mah 2s and 3s lipos, you may be able to come down a bit on the charger price to get started...if the packs can handle it though, and you can afford it, go with higher power charger for fast charge times! Here are some real cheap chargers in case you are on a tight budget. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/v6ac-with-us-plug.html https://hobbyking.com/en_us/accuell-...r-us-plug.html |

Have used a Parallel Multi Charge Balance Board with charge time just a hair over a half hour with two batteries |
Hey mrgrimm , thank you !
Money is not really an issue but I'd rather not blow high dough for features I'll never use . That first link you posted sounds like it's a perfect fit but it says nothing about balancing the charge ...or am I missing something ? |
For batteries I use gens ace and number of brands from hobbyking.(nice if you can find good deals in east or west warehouse in usa. pretty fast shipping). I have have good luck with nano tech. As with any lipo battery Just need to take care of it.
How many cells you planning on for emaxx, 4,5 or 6? If 4s I would go with 2s hardpack cases. |

If money is not an issue then get something better anyways |

With that Dynamite charger I can charge a 7200Mah pack at 1C in a half hour.

Why would you want to get a brushed version?

I run two 2s in my e revo brushless along with 5 and 6s. I prefer 5s, plenty of power and bit easier on parts. Nothing wrong with two 2s though. I run that combination for quite some time and still do when I'm not going for all out power.
I wouldn't suggest a ton of power going to brushed motors though. Not sure what they can handle |

I just had a thought after I bought six Floureon 2 Packs 40C 2S 6200mAh 7.4V Lipo Battery with Deans Connector Is that charger going to safely charge those packs ? |
