Tmaxx Shock Spring Color Guide

Tmaxx Shock Spring Color Guide
Hello everyone, I'm trying to find a guide that will tell me what strength the colors mean on the shock springs. I have a Tmaxx that is 95% aluminum and titanium and has gained a little weight recently. I need to stiffen the rear a little because of the weight gain and not sure what springs to use. Im running piggybacks with blue springs but it seems a little soft. Thanks for any help...

I went a little different with mine. I run 4 Lunsford titanium monster springs on the corner shocks and 4 Associated MGT coppers on the inside ones. I'm using 40 weight front and 45 weight rear in stock plastic shocks. I do still need some preload, but the truck sits perfectly level now and the shocks work very well. The MGT springs are a bit longer than the stock Maxx springs but they are the same diameter. Associated has a pretty wide range of springs for the MGT. The coppers are the hardest, blue are the lightest IIRC. They're a good option, $7 a set too.

They were not available when I needed stiffer springs 8 years ago.

Is what I used.
I'm sorry! I forgot that I'm running Associated shocks!!!!!
They are 12 mm body diameter.
I MUST have cut them down 'cause they are 4.6" overall length!HPI Savage.
My stock Traxxas shocks are long gone.

Yup those are the same ones I run, but I only run 4 of them with the Lunsfords as well. The coppers fit the stock shocks just fine. I too ran into the same issue after putting a big block in my T Maxx. It suddenly became 15+ lb. and sagged badly! Are you running the MGT shocks? I was thinking of trying the stock MGT shocks because they are a bit longer and I've heard they work decently in a Maxx.

VGR springs are very stiff. All colors have the same spring rate.

I think Integy might have a whole set of T Maxx springs you can get, like 4 sets with different rates in one bag. I looked at them before going with my current combo. They look like a good option if you don't know what rate you want. Those VGR ones look good, too.

I run the black on the front blue on the rear 4 shock setup with HOBAO (#87391) shocks on an all alloy Maxx.

Or you could go with RC Raven progressive on a 8 shock setup
