I'm glad Traxxas is taking care of you but I have a feeling they might not be so quick to replace it if they saw your other video.

Was this with or without fusible link?
Just so everyone understands. A fusible link is a bandaid on a bigger problem.

I have seen posts about these things catching fire. How many times has this happened? What causes it?

Just a few guesses though. Easy enough to replace the ESC with a Max6 or Max5, thankfully.

Guessing the drive FET's are going into thermal runaway. Not properly specced to the job, or they aren't being switched fully on & off at elevated switching speeds (can cause some FET's to start generating significant heat).
