I don't think you need to modify the wing mount because on the LST the shocks are higher and more outwards like you said.
But then again, a sanding drum on a dremel 2 minutes work, and it fits.
By the way, it sucks that they are 14mm, but I like the looks of those tires!

are the losi claw tires 420 series tires? if so you will need 40 series wheels for it. if not the regular 17 mm wheels will do, in which you will have a lot of choices. hope this helps

You should measure it, because I am not sure, but it looks like they are 3.2 wheels and tires, not the 3.8 that the 420 and other 40 series wheels are.
I found a topic somewhere in which they said you could stretch them over the 40 series wheels, and make it work.
I would go for some 3.2 wheels however, if you have the 17mm hexes.
Proline used to make them, Maximazer made/makes beadlocks, RPM has the revolvers in that size, and I am probably missing quite a few, but I was not into RC when the 3.2 size was used a lot.

Well I have had this discussion with another member and it looks like the same result. he said he has seen those tires stretched on the two wheels and it just aids in bad handling and I don't want that. So I already have the 20mm hexes, so I'm just going to go thru with what I mentioned earlier on and pick up the stock XXL2-E tires.

How well with this fit on the xxl2? I had one on my emaxx and it fit good but this xxl is wayyy longer and by searching online looks like there is two versions, one for the lst and one for the emaxx. Even tho it says lst, should fit and look ok on my xxl2e?
This is proline 319300 not this other part number

Never thought I'd be quoting myself but here it is from page 3 of this thread.
To sum up, yes it can be done, the Claws fit on 3.2 Maxx wheels. Would I recommend it? Only if you're going to run them exclusively offroad. On pavement above 30mph the handling gets sketchy. Wish there was a wide enough 17mm wheel to eliminate this issue as they are a great tire. I actually have a 2nd set of Claws (sold first set with a truck) and a set of Revolvers sitting right next to them but I know what the result will be. Maybe a different, firmer foam would help.
Losi Claw tires are 3.2 and you can mount them on a 3.2 wheel. But the Losi 3.2 wheel is wider than the standard 3.2 Maxx wheel. The narrower 3.2 Maxx wheel with the Claw makes for a cool look with a big fat sidewall on the tire. But the Claw is a flexible tire and with the smaller wheel and bulging sidewall they're more flexible with less support. With the truck on the ground, you can move it left to right flexing the sidewall of the tires while the contact patch stays in the same spot. Makes for squirrelly handling (think, tank slappers) on the street at speed, you don't really notice it much in grass and dirt though. I know because I've done this combination before. I was tempted to stretch a set of claws over some 40 series wheels (it's possible I did it) to solve the problem but I wasn't crazy about how it looked.

The Proline f-650 body for the LST is meant for non XXL length trucks. I had one on my LST2 and it was a good fit but the XXL is much longer. If you tried spacing the body evenly front to back it might look ok, but that may not be possible. Most bodies are a little narrower up front and the LST needs the front wheel openings for shock clearance, push the body back a little and this might become an issue. Stick with stock XXL bodies or look at Savage XL bodies, maybe CEN Genesis but I'm not 100% on the wheelbase of them.

Alright so here is an update, I have the stock XXL2-E tires on the way, won an auction at $40 so pretty good.
Got the truck put together last night with lst2 suspension and axles, 20mm hubs and I also flipped the rear shocks. Added the sway bar fron and rear and also went ahead installed the HD diffs with the upgraded hpi pins. Come to find out I stripped a wheel hex, when I thought it was the pin in the diff. Went ahead and did it all anyways, so she should be solid when those tires show up, needs a new body and should be done to move onto that rc8te I bought lol. But I love this lst, nothing like a big mt to pUT smile on your face.

Yes, and there is also extra support on the hinge pin side and the arms are also thicker or beefier in comparison too. The hubs themselves are bigger too.
I also want to add that upgrading to lst2 spec suspension eliminates the rear toe link. Here is another comparison

That looks great!
May I ask why you did the rear shock flip?
To protect the shocks?
