Default broke a part I don't know how to fix my savage

It was my first run in a month and I miss judged where the crub was and hit it doing some big time damage . My problem is one of the posts connected to the bottom of the radio box snapped where the two meet. There's two post at the bottom connected to the box that I think is then connected to the steering arm (one post is black with a purple spring and the other is blackwith nothing on it and that is the one I broke. Do I need to buy a new box or can I still run the truck. What does that black post even do. By the way part #85058

Thanks

yes u can use the box as long as you didnt break a really big hole on where the rod screws on. the little black pole if for steering. and you really need it.
