E Maxx 3908 Question
I just installed hot racing aluminum steering knuckle and hub set for the fronts on my emaxx and everything went together fine so I thought..
Now that I installed it I can not get the wheels to turn. It makes the noise like it's turning but the wheels will not turn at all. Any recommendations please? |
You've got some binding somewhere, you're gonna have to disconnect the servo horn and see where the problem is. You might have the pillowballs tightened to the point where the knuckles can't move.

You could have two different issues going on there. first the pillowballs could be screwed into the arms too far, that could cause the knuckles to hit the arms to soon and will not turn. 2nd, the pillow ball retainers could be screwed into the knuckles to far causing binding. Just back off on the retainers till there is a very small amount of play in the knuckle on the pillowball. Other than that check every part in the steering for binding, everything should move freely.

Still trying to get the pillow balls out without taking off everything

Pick up the a arm slightly, compress the springs slightly, so the hex part of the of the pillow ball is visible and reachable with a tool thru the axle carrier holes. Doing that tilts the arms to expose the hex. The pillow ball should roughly be screwed in just to the end of the threaded part of the shaft. So there will be about 1/4 inch of non threaded part visible.
