Default DUH Engineering Titan Hybrid

Hey all,

Picked up one of the trucks this weekend that got me into this side of the hobby. Was always a big fan of what Eric did at DUH Engineering, and as luck has it, this one of three ever made Titanium Hybrid Titans. It uses Flextek lower Savage Arms, and 8mm Unlimited Engineering CVDs. Powerhouse on this truck is a ThunderTiger 0.70 Nitro Beast, nearly the entire platform is custom. Am very blessed to have found one in new condition, now I just got to decide on shocks haha.

It is pretty dusty, and needs a good clean, as it has been in storage for the passed decade, but that is easy work:

Truck looks right at home with my JPS Tear drop Rims with DUH Engineering Titanium Beadlocks, although I am not sure what tyres I will run yet.

That looks great, as usual with your cars
I love the Flextek arms, I wish I had the money, and more people would/could buy them!

Thanks guys! Unfortunately bad news on Flexteks as that there is no chance of a future run of 100 ever coming to fruition... A group of us approached Flextek after it was suspected they were no longer updating their website, and offered to prepay for a run of 100 sets. They sadly declined, and later admitted they were no longer supporting warranty requests on their original sets.

So looks to be they will always be the hard to find parts they are today

Jeez, that truck is like rc porn. Come to think of it most of your collection that you've posted is! I think now all you need is a Razorback with any VBS and RacerX with swept backs to be the rc porn King!

Haha,I thought of you Overdriven when I posted this up here. I meant what I said about the flexteks my friend, if this truck did not come with them already installed and they were a complete set I would have let you know. I do not know what the original builder ever did with the top flextek arms, seems like a waste to not use them too, I guess I will never know haha

Well, the Titan does have the shocks attach to the upper arms. I'm not sure I'd want to drill into a set of upper Flextek's to mount the shocks, that's if they were even a direct bolt on and didn't need machining to mount up. Was this designed for Savage suspension or did the lowers just happen to bolt up? In order to use the holes on the lower arms you'd need a really long shock. Something like a Baja rear shock which didn't exist back in the day when this was put together.

I do love my Monster Trucks though and always wanted to at least drive a Titan but never have. That and a GigaCrusher DF, just so cool with the hoodscoop/air filter and the pipes out the back. But hot damn, all that Ti, and one of 3? That's even rarer than a Razorback and some great MT history here, thanks for sharing.

Those were nice kits from DUH Engineering, i had the complete titanium twin titan kit, with aluminum upper and lower a-arms. Man with twin motors running, that truck scared me and they were the OFNA Hyper 21 8 ports. Man i miss that truck.

Hello, I recently discovered your thread of the Ofna Titan and decided to join. I also have a titan that I converted to brushless and four wheel steering…are those titanium parts you installed available for purchase?

No longer available unfortunately. DUH engineering was a small business an enthusiast setup years ago but he stopped making parts back in the early 2000's if i recall correctly. The lowers on this truck are Titanium Flexteks as well, not much of the truck was stock.... I sold this truck about 5 years ago...

Hello again. I'm not sure if I'm doing these posts correctly as I don't use this that often. But I sent a message to nitrobasher & am definitely interested in some or all of your parts. Thanks again.
