Ah, the fuse link! Great idea! Far better than actually supplying an ESC that's up to the job!
Traxxas, you have failed.

Owners are aware of it. Hobby store owner brought it up last weekend. No issues with ESC on mine after 28 runs.

+1 and, how about a motor that won't overheat. There are going to be soooo many people whining about temps this summer..... Might as well plan on spending $600 more for good electronics.

Yup, agreed. I know we all like to mod our cars, but they should run straight from the box, without catching fire! That's why they're called RTR!

I think the fusible link isn't there to protect the ESC from too high Currents, it's there to prevent fires in case the ESC shorts out (when FETs get stuck) , i.e., when the fuse is needed, the ESC is toast anyway.

Read this on another forum, had to laugh about it
"I'm all set for the weekend, I have 37 fusible links".

WHAT?! They aren't redesigning the vxl6 with this recall to actually make it a good ESC. Looks like they're taking a shortcut just to find a way so the same POS ESC just doesn't catch on fire but yet it's still gonna have the same old high temps or what?!
