I have not been up there in a few years, but check this place out:

Looks worthy of a trip to burn some lipo juice!

Never heard of that place. I'll have to look into it.

I used to tow cars into the impound yard not far from there.

Anyone have any regrets buying the proline badlands? Keep going back and forth on buying them. I have a 6s xmaxx with the factory tires and thus far they have been ok minus the two my dog managed to grab a hold of. I did notice I had a tear in another one that I think came from just general bashing. I stopped by my LHS today and they had a set on hold that I was able to look at. I know the prolines are much stiffer which has my concerned on grip. Right now mainly bash the truck on pavement and some grass with a harder clay surface. What has been everyone's thought thus far?

I really like them. I have a box stock 8s X-Maxx and these offer much better grip on any surface. They have been extremely durable and easy to keep clean. They only add a small amount of weight and I don't notice any disadvantages in the handling or top end side of things. The car has traction for days!

Proline did their homework and it shows.

My 2 cents.

I'm on fence about the new Prolines. I would have jumped on set 5-6 months ago. The stock 8s have been improved just enuff for me to hold off for now. I'll most likely end up with a set. But not till I need them. Not just want them. I've still got an original pair on my 6s, 85 runs and still going.

The PL tires and wheels are great. Improved handling so you can actually drive it. I'm impressed. This might be the best thing you could ever upgrade on this truck that addresses several issues. Balooning tires on speed runs is no longer an issue. Slightly less traction from a standing start is a positive because truck wheelies are much more controlllable. IMO, These tires are the best thing you can do to make this big boy handle. They make it possible to drive the truck agressivily with some control.

agreed, I have both the 8s tires and Prolines, the 8s tires are an improvement for sure, but the Prolines are on another level. Great tire!

my fix for the body. solder the connectors on, use long screws and nuts. I added larger washers 3 times before trying this. someone could 3d print "hood scoops" that do the same basic thing and sell a ton. could make a "blower" version too. also, for anybody having problems with wheelies or just want a good handling truck, use thinner center diff fluid.

I've jumped this thing over 30 feet and 10 feet high about 100 times now and only broke the front bumper mount (thin springy portion) and blew out one of the thin but large front wheel bearings. those wheel bearing were a dumb mistake. rpm addresses the rear but not the fronts.

tower got the proline tires in stock end of last week. mine showed up in the mail today. managed to assemble one before work and they are not quite as stiff as I had originally thought. looking forward to giving these tires a shot here in the next few days.

Your on to something here. I want mine to be aluminum like a skid plate so screws never pull through.

The PL tires are working great. I can really appreciate the control, they allow you to drive it and run it hard. When they had promo code for big discount it was a no brainer!! See no reson to go back to stock.

That was a small area to run this rig. Should have parked a full size truck there and jumped over it all day
