Castle Esc/Motor help

Guys, i need your help.

I am planning to upgrade my esc/motor for my 1/10 scale HPI Bullet Flux MT monster truck which weighs abt 2.8kg.
I have 2 plans and need your help to find out which will be the best option for my esc/motor combi.

1) To buy a Castle Creations 1/8 2200kV Sidewinder 8th Brushless System (Both ESC and Motor)
2) To use my existing 4000kV HPI FLUX MMH-4000KV BRUSHLESS MOTOR with either one of these ESCs:

- Castle Creations 1/10 Mamba Max Pro ESC Smart Sense
- Castle Creations 1/8 Mamba Monster 2 Waterproof ESC

HPI Motor specs:
4000kV Sensorless Brushless 4-Pole 1/10th Scale Motor
3.2mm Shaft
4mm bullet connectors

I like bashing and speed.
Please advice. I am new to this. Thank you

IMO if I only have those 2 to pic from, I'd #1. It's over kill, but w/Castle Link you can dial it to be driveable.

Hpi bullet mt is Around same weight as sct, only with bigger tires. No. 1 would be your best bet if you plan for high speed and heavy bashing but you need at least 3s-4s lipo to run it the way you want it. 😊👍

I would choose option 2 with mamba pro esc if most of your batteries are 3s. Using 2s on hpi bullet mt will just bloat your lipo battery with heavy bashing and speed will not be that fast.

Hope it helps. 👍

Don't put an 1/8th scale motor in a 1/10 mt. A 4-pole 540 or 550 is plenty. A Castle 1/8th scale motor will rip your driveline to shreds. Not to mention you would need another 2 lipo cells. Your rig would then be VERY heavy, and all damage would be amplified by the additional weight. If it were me, I would get a higher KV 4-pole meant for 4wd SCT and gear it appropriately.
