Wheel nuts keep getting loose?

My wheel nuts keep unscrewing and falling off. Basically, why do my wheels keep falling off..?

I recently installed desperado wheels on my Savage XS. I used the supplied flat Hex mounts. I wasn't able to use the stock wheel washers because they don't fit the inner bore of the wheel. I only have the wheel nuts on and they keep unscrewing. Is this because I'm not using washers?

If it is the lack of washers, can I get any washer at the hardware store or do I need to order something RC specific? Also could it be the wheel nuts?

Thanks in advance...

This and blue Loctite are the answer. Let the truck sit overnight before you run it . Make sure the wheel hexs have not stripped and rock out

i wouldnt use loctite on your wheels as it can gum up the threads and make changing wheels annoying...I would get flanged nyloc (nuts with the nylon insert) nuts and you should be good to go

traxxas sells an aluminum serrated flanged nylon insert lock nut. they are quite spendy for what they are, but they are amazing. I would hunt down a set of them to see if they fit.

There are Low Profile ones as well but they are difficult to come across. Used to be more common but have faded slowly. Maybe someone will see the need for it because I've had plain serrated ones fall off a couple times when I KNOW they were torqued down firmly.

These are amazing if they'll fit inside your wheel: http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/traxxas...ra1747r/p23099

I've used them on every off road car I've had. Never had one come loose.
