diff fluid set up
I have a new 4x4 eighth scale truggy. I can't keep the front tires down during on power turns. Does anyone know a good diff fluid set up to help this problem. I've got the stock set up right now. 7 - 10 - 7

What kind of power you pushing? 4s-6s I'd say 100k-500k-100k for some bashing.

Thanks for the response. The truggy can run 4S or 6S. After running 6S for the first time yesterday, I'm thinking I will just use 4S for the most part. I'll just use the 6S when I have A LOT of room. I did order some stiffer springs. I was hoping that would help some of my traction problems. What about shock fluid? Would going thicker help. I will put the 100,000 in the center differential and see the effect. I'm still trying to get a handle on the whole three differential set up and what effects what. Thanks again.

Also try the team associated 16MM bronze springs for the back. That will help to bring the back up from the ground and force a little more pressure to the front. You will lose a little bit of rear traction but this should help to balance the power and drive more. How are you liking the Kraton so far? |
It's been awesome! I'm building a ramp now. I can't wait to start flying. Do you know what the rating is on those springs?

I purchased those Associated bronze springs. I also read that the Durango DEK408 springs will fit. Can anyone confirm that? I just finished my ramp. It's adjustable to 30, 45, and 60 degrees. Should make for a fun weekend. Also, I haven't looked that close yet, but is the front camber adjustable? It doesn't look like the typical set up. Thanx Mayhem3x for your help.

You could use the pivot balls that go in the axle carrier to adjust camber

Just an FYI, the 16mm Associated springs do not fit. NOT EVEN CLOSE. The Durango DEX408 are a better fit, but they are not as long as the stock Arrma springs. Does anybody know of a spring that actually fits correctly? I'm looking for rear springs, 84mm or more. I was just trying to find something firmer then the stock springs.
