I've noticed the ECX and even redcats are actually pretty darn tough. I have a Redcat rampage gasser and up until I got one I didn't care for Redcat but not because of my own experience but because of what I had read or heard. I find a lot of people in the hobby do that but its surprising how wrong it can be. I've owned tons of traxxas and have to say I hated going out with my 9yr old son and always having something break. Traxxas is however carried at every hobby shop but I now know why lol. There's some sick sick rides pictured but come on let's see more!!!!

Well I do know the ECX is owned by Horizon Hobby which is the same company that owns Losi. But I have also heard from a few people that ECX is actually owned by Losi and in turn owned by Horizon.
A friend of mine actually sold his 4x4 stampede for a 2wd Ruckus after he saw how i can bash the crap out of mine and it just comes back asking for more. And also letting him drive it for a full battery pack as well. He was planning on switching to a 2wd truck anyways. He also likes how stable and controllable the Ruckus is compared to his stampede. And the sheer size of the Ruckus compared to the pede seen as tho the Ruckus is actually closer to a 1/8th scale then a 1/10th scale.

There is already quite a few upgrades you can get for them already. Like if your looking for aluminum parts you can get official ECX one and also Boom Racing has even more aluminum parts avaliable for ECX. There is almost aluminum shacks but most skip the ESC shocks and eather get traxxas big bores or the Losi Ten-T or SCTE shocks. And also the metal gear set for the transmission but thoes are a must if your going brushless unless you buy the Brushless edition it already comes with the metal gears.

Sorry to be off topic of the whole post pics of your Monster Truck but just one more thing towards rc car freak. Just as a heads up the 4x4 version of the ruckus is plagued with more problems then the 2wd versions. But I have heard that Horizon is going to be releasing a new reversion of the 4x4 Ruckus and torment sometime this year guessing more towards Chrismas. They said it should fix all the known problems with there 4x4's.

You guys are fine man. I've actually been wanting a 2wd truck so the info helps with my choice. I've only had one 2wd truck and it was the slash and I only had it for about a hour before I sold it. Off topic but do any of you possibly have a red Losi xxl body you would sell? If so please let me know as I've been looking for one. What's your absolute favorite basher?

Ya when it comes to 2wd you can't beat the Ruckus for durablity and price. I will let you know ahead of time the only real short comings of the ECX R/C's are there shocks, there Drive Shafts and there Servo Saver.
I did do a kinda little bit of a write up on what needs to be replced and what parts to use to replace them on a different forum.

I also have a limited edition Snap On 4x4 Slash. The only thing limited is the body I guess. I also have an old school TMaxx.
