I got these on spare:

http://www.innovative-rc.com/drive-pins-p-196.html

So according to the description they are 2,5x12mm , so a bit longer then the Tekno ones.

Thanks man. I see amain has a nice selection of pins in that size. Why doesn't Losi list the size of their parts like a lot of other companies do? A little annoying.

I needed a few more mm of space in order to have clearance in between the center diff case and the ESC, so I cut off a section of the side guard. I went up just a little bit in gearing, it's now 25/43 (75 mph). I went with a Tekno pinion this time and it's much higher quality and lighter than my other Novak pinions and has a big M5 set screw.

3M VHB 5952 tape, this stuff is awesome.

Clearance!

The bottom of the ESC is still completely covered and the side is covered by the body.

First test run with the Losi HD center diff. Could only go full throttle in little bursts because of the bumpy terrain. Half way through the battery the spur stripped. Are Losi plastic spurs made of butter? I've never had a problem with Tekno spurs and I set the mesh the same.

I don't have a data logger but Dr T has pulled 6173 watts (8.27 horsepower) on 6S with the TP 4070 and this Poseidon motor feels equivalent to me in terms of power output.

Haha! 8+ hp from 6S on a Mamba Monster ESC, really!?
That would require a mere 280a draw through the regulator - Come on, what planet do you live on

Actually make that 6638 watts (8.9 horsepower) and 336 amps.

And Dr_T has logged 330a or something, and thats with a Hobbywing 150a esc, i.e. kind of the same thing as the mamba monster (as you can see in the graph)

Haha! Those readings you refer to are called current spikes (short-lived burst of energy). In order to rate maximum power output, the power must sustain over a period of time. Thus you can roughly cut those bursts down to a third, and you'll end up with 112a continuous draw. That's on par with a Castle 1717 motor, and also explains how/why that Mamba Monster ESC is keeping up with you.

I've seen a lot of people reading log-charts the way you do. How fun that might be, reality will always catch up with you when comparing components/systems. I tell you there is now way you are running 8 HP through a Mamba Monster ESC. Period

Yeah, well excuse me for laughing - but it is kind of funny when you're this far off from reality and yet NONE in this thread is even sceptical. I mean, just plain simple common sense tells me there's something not adding up here.

I don't mean to be an ass, and I'm all about keeping it civilized and in a good tone. But when presenting numbers and charts like this one should always do so with scrutiny. Otherwise you'll end up with something more of an illusion. Now something tells me that's exactly what some of you're seeking, and anyhow I'm breaking this to you some will always take it the wrong way - simply because it's just not what they want to hear

Hehe I suppose xirton has a point... seems he has been a bit above 200a a couple of time for long enough to call it more than a spike??

It still peaked/spiked at those numbers, I didn't say anything more, it is what it is. One thing you can't really argue against is the data loggers ability to record the speed over time. In this case going from 15 to 52 mph in 1 second.

How much horsepower is Nic Case making when he makes a 202 mph pass with a Neu 1527 (40x100mm) ?
