Default Hpi 5.9 engine!! Any good?

Can anyone tell me if the hpi 5.9 engine has gotten any better in the past few yrs? Back when they came out i heard some bad things about them and was wondering if this would be a good engine for a savage x chassis? Im stuck between the lrp 30,32 and the hpi 5.9. Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks

Is the lrp 30 that much better? Ive never had a 5.9 cause i heard they were bad motors from factory. I have a chance to buy one with less then a gallon on it for 80.00

I am waiting on pics from the guy to see the condition of it. Hes hesitant about showing mw pics of the piston and under the cooling head so if i dont get those pics i may pass and get something else. I used to love my lrp 30 and lrp 28. I had a picco boost 28 in a savage before and it was crazy but too much of a pain to break in. I just wanna get something to run with my buddies and be able to have good power

Im assuming that either way, the 5.9 is overkill for an average savage x chassis?

I used have an lrp 28 and probably the best nitro engine I ever bought. Easy to start maybe 2 pulls and run cool. Tons of power so yes I would recommend the lrp lol.

Yeah ive had the lrp 28, 30 and im running the 4.6 now. Just trying to figure out if i wanna get another 28,30 or go with a new lrp 32 lol. I never had one and thought it would be nice to try it. I do remember my .28 lrp was really crazy after breakin. My buddy had a .30 in his savage so it woukd be nice to get something to compare.
