Default Kyosho FO-XX VE

Whoa guys, anybody seen this yet? It seems to have just been announced as there is minimal info on it, and one video that's a whopping 10 seconds long.

All I have to say is wow, what smoking good looking MT, and please please please be as durable as the mad force.

I'll update this when mine comes, can't even order it yet.

Thoughts?

I've always liked the FOFF look but was always concerned about limited suspension travel. This looks like it's got all the bases covered. I've been thinking about a sand basher for the beach near my house, this is going on the short list for those duties.

In general racing is my thing, ,but this has me very interested. I like the concept of a solid axle truck.

Anyone know if there are changes between this and the mad force?

That chain has me scared tho...anybody have experience with it in the mad force?

Nothing new? Come on now....at least somebody has "newer" mt on the market, they're kind of scarce these days on the brushless side of things

Interesting! Since I've been looking at this thing that's been the big drawback. Is it hard to work with? I wonder why everyone on other forums have been complaining about it?

Can you pre-order from Tower?

If I get one new, would be that way with there member discounts.

doing a bit more comparison, curious on a few things compared to the kruiser:

- Does the Kruiser use 17mm hexes like the FO-XX?

- The FO-XX appears to use a different motor than the Kruiser (Orion 28807), possibly a buggy sized motor?

http://www.teamorion.com/neon-8-wp-4...-5mm-en-2.html

veersus the Kruiser one:

wonder if the FO-XX wheels are lighter hence don't need as much to get it going, more usable power, but not nutz power?

- I wonder if a truggy length motor can fit in the space for the FO-XX?

- Initial impression the wheels for the FO-XX appear to have an offset. Assuming you want to drop some other truggy wheels on there, do you need something with offset?

- Looks like maybe the battery retention method is a different on the FO-XX or at least the manual looks different.

looks interesting. Personally I probably will swap out electronics with stuff I commonly use like a Viper ESC and Tekin motor, maybe servo too but still looks good.

Kyosho finally emailed me back!!! Looks like it will be available in late September according to them. I am asking what changes and will post their response as soon as I have it.

Has anyone successfully pre ordered this yet?
